Prices & data

Every price in Oreno comes from Chainlink feeds on Robinhood Chain — the source Robinhood recommends for valuing stock tokens.

Live prices

The live price is each feed's latest answer, which already includes the corporate-action multiplier. The 24h change compares it with the feed's answer from 24 hours earlier, read from the feed's own round history. Live market data is cached for about a minute.

Daily closes

Backtests, paper runs, forward tracks and Markets history use daily closes:

  • A day's close is the last valid round the feed reported within that UTC day.
  • An hourly job (at minute 7) reads new rounds since the last run and updates the day's close.
  • History starts on 2026-06-23 for most tokens.
  • On days with no new round — weekends, holidays — the previous close is carried forward.

Bad data filter

On launch day, 2026-06-22, the feeds reported answers scaled roughly 10¹⁶ too high (for example, about $74 billion per SPY token). Oreno rejects any round implying a price above $1,000,000 per token, so those rounds never enter the data. That's why history begins on 2026-06-23.

Weekends

US equity feeds update 24/5. Over the weekend the reference price holds at Friday's close, while tokens can still trade on-chain at different prices. Oreno labels weekend valuations accordingly, and backtests only trade on weekdays. See Robinhood Chain & stock tokens for measured gaps.

Oreno is software for researching, simulating and managing investment strategies. It is not investment advice. Backtested and paper results are hypothetical.
