Stock tokens
Stock tokens are ERC-20 tokens issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. They give economic exposure to an underlying stock or ETF — not shareholder rights in the company.
- Creation and redemption happen through authorised participants and market makers, Monday 02:00 to Saturday 02:00 CET. That arbitrage is what keeps token prices close to the underlying.
- On-chain trading continues 24/7 on venues such as market-maker RFQ, AMM pools and order books.
- Corporate actions such as splits and dividends are handled by an on-chain multiplier.
At the time of writing, Robinhood's StockFactory has deployed 212 stock tokens. 33 of them have a Chainlink price feed, and only those can be priced, backtested and held in Oreno strategies. See Markets for the live list.
How prices behave
Each priced token has a Chainlink feed that already includes the corporate-action multiplier. US equity feeds update 24/5 and hold their last value over the weekend.
On-chain trading prices can differ from that reference price. We measured it in November 2026:
| Period | Gap vs. Chainlink reference |
|---|---|
| Weekdays (Robinhood quotes, Arcus, Uniswap) | mostly within about ±0.5% |
| Weekends, vs. Friday's close | median ~0.7%, 90th percentile ~2.2%, worst ~4.6% |
That's why Oreno values holdings with the Chainlink price, only trades on weekdays in backtests, and labels weekend values as Friday's close. See Prices & data.
Stock tokens carry risks ordinary shares don't, including private-key loss, liquidity limits, price divergence from the underlying, and evolving regulation. They aren't available in some jurisdictions, including the US, Canada and the UK.
