Risk & policy engine
Every strategy passes the same deterministic checks before it can be saved, paper traded or proposed — whether it came from you, from Studio, or from the agent. Same input, same verdict.
The checks
| Check | Passes when |
|---|---|
| Valid strategy | The definition matches the strategy schema |
| Weights add up to 100% | The main basket totals exactly 100% |
| Each asset listed once | No duplicates within a basket |
| Permitted assets only | Every asset is a Robinhood Chain stock token with a Chainlink price feed |
| Trend filter is complete | A rebalance schedule exists, and the alternate basket is empty (cash) or totals 100% |
| Position limits | No position exceeds the lower of the strategy's cap and your limit |
| Total budget | The starting amount is within your limit |
| Recurring contribution limit | Recurring deposits stay within your monthly limit (weekly amounts × 52 ÷ 12) |
Your limits
Set them in Settings → Risk limits.
| Limit | Default |
|---|---|
| Max per position | 25% |
| Max starting amount | $10,000 |
| Max recurring per month | $1,000 |
| Max price deviation | 1% |
Max price deviation will apply to live execution: quotes further than this from the Chainlink price will be rejected. Live execution isn't enabled yet.
Where checks run
- Saving or editing a strategy in Studio — checks show live as you build.
- Copying a public strategy into Studio.
- Starting a paper run.
- Every agent proposal, with one chance for the agent to fix failures.
Each check is recorded in an audit log.
